Getting Started With Gigapay

An Onboarding step-by-step guide and FAQ's

Welcome to Gigapay. This guide will walk you through account setup so you can receive your first payout quickly and securely.

Eligibility Requirements

Ensure you meet the minimum age requirement to create an account:

  • Sweden: 16 years or older

  • All other countries: 18 years or older


Step 1: Enter Your Invitation Code

You'll need the unique code sent to your email to begin.

  1. Open the Gigapay sign-up page and select the Signup tab.

  2. Enter your invitation code exactly as it appears in your email.

  3. Click Submit to continue.

Can't find your code? Check your spam or promotions folder. If it's not there after a few minutes, contact support at support@gigapay.co.


Step 2: Verify Your Email Address

We'll use this email to send payout notifications and account updates.

  • Review the email address displayed.

  • Change it if you'd prefer to use a different address (for example, if a manager or agent handles your communications).

  • Click Confirm to proceed.

For Swedish users: You can select "Continue with BankID" for faster, secure verification.


Step 3: Confirm Your Country of Residence

Select the country where you legally reside. This determines how we handle tax compliance and where we send your payouts.

Ensure this matches your legal residency to avoid verification delays.

Are you an agency? Check the box before continuing.


Step 4: Add Your Personal Details

We need these details to verify your identity and meet tax requirements.

  1. Enter your first and last name.

  2. Enter your date of birth.

  3. Enter your personal identification number (found on your passport, national ID card, driver's license, or tax documents).

Why we need this: Your identification number helps us verify your identity and handle tax obligations correctly with local authorities.


Step 5: Enter Your Contact Information

Add your contact details so we can keep you informed about payouts and account activity.

  • Email address: Confirm the email where you'll receive updates.

  • Phone number (optional): Add a phone number if you'd like.

  • Gigapay updates: Toggle this on if you want to receive news about new features and improvements.

Note: We won't send marketing messages to your phone number.


Step 6: Enter Your Address

Add your residential address to complete account verification.

Enter your street address and number, city, and postal code.

Important: PO boxes are not accepted. Please provide a physical residential address.


Step 7: Select Your Entity Type

Choose the option that describes how you work:

  • Individual: You work as a private individual.

  • Sole Trader: You operate your own registered sole trader business.

  • Company: You work through a registered company.

Note: You must be registered as a Sole Trader or Company to submit invoices for your payouts.


Step 8: Complete Your Entity Information

Depending on your entity type, provide the following details:

Individual:

  • Confirm your country of residence.

  • Provide valid identification.

Sole Trader:

  • Confirm the country where your business is registered.

  • Provide your legal business name, Tax Identification Number (TIN), and business address.

  • Your TIN must be valid for cross-border transactions.

Company:

  • Confirm your country of registration.

  • Provide your legal company name, Tax Identification Number (TIN), VAT number, and registered address.

  • Your TIN and VAT number must be valid for cross-border transactions.

Verification process: Depending on your country, you may need to upload verification documents. Our compliance team will review your account within 3–5 business days. We'll contact you if we need additional information.
